To all who shall view or hear the present deed, David, marischal of the lord king of Scots, sends Greeting: Let your community know that I have given and granted and by this my charter made firm to Willliam Lunnock and his heirs my fisheries on the Tweed, that is, my whole fishery at ‘Holdema’, and one net on the Shipwell, which Jocelin Lunnock, the father of the aforesaid William, held. For him and his heirs to hold of me and my heirs free and quit from all service and custom and exaction by rendering 20 shillings each year, that is, a half at Pentecost and the other half at the feast of Saint Martin. With these witnesses, Earl Patrick, William Comyn, Walter of Lindsay, Roger son of Henry, William of Bernham, William of Fishley, William de Salle, Alexander of Fishley, William Miriild, Patrick son of William of Fishley, Richard Lauder, Richard son of Anke, Bertolf of Hilton, Richard Bernake, William Guthred, Walter Brand, Richard the clerk, and many others.
